Now we are looking for a dynamic, outgoing and enthusiastic – Director of Event Service (Banquet) with strong background and experience in Large Events, Conference and Meeting to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at Grand Hyatt Bali.
Goal of the Director of Event Service (Banquet) is Effectively and proactively monitors the daily functions of the Event Service section under Food & Beverage department. This is including providing support and guidance to the banquet team. This also includes working and communicating closely with all hotel departments and to ensure a successful and effective event resulting in a positive guest experience.
The Director of Event Service (Banquet) will be responsible for operational related to events, conference and meeting. The Director of Event Service (Banquet) also responsible for handling guests and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up. This includes responsibility and ownership by collaborating and communicating closely with all hotel departments and leaders to ensure the Hotel's guest service expectations, employee experience and revenue objectives are met.
As a Director of Event Service (Banquet) , you will be reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage Service and below are some of the key responsibilities:

Directs and leads the Event Services (Banquets), Event Services Set-Up, and Event Services (Banquet) Beverage departments while working closely with the Events Planning and other Hotel Operations department.

Ensures that all employees deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service and provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

Coach and motivate employees in achieving exceptional guest service results and department engagement.
·
Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

Maximizes employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.

Assists Event Sales in identifying market needs and trends.
·
Ability to quickly understand and respond to complex business matters.
·
Ability to impact and achieve Meeting Planner satisfaction scores.
·
Ensure proactive communication and client changes are executed appropriately by reviewing Banquet Event Orders daily.

Evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the hotel's operations remain competitive and cutting edge.

Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Conferences and Banquets employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department's grooming standards.

Ensures that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.
Desired profile
Qualifications :

Experience in 5 Star hotels and operational procedures of those are an advantage.
·
Strategic leader that has experience in larger banqueting operation with multiple and/or large events, conferences and meetings and a good understanding about ahead and detailed event planning.
·
Energetic, driven and open minded as young to middle aged leader, strong capability in train and develop team, and is a role model.
·
Eloquent in English communication in both written and spoken.
·
Is well versed in working with Property Management System such as INFRASYS, HOTSOS, BIRCHSTREET and other systems.
·
Has proven track of working with timelines and targets.
·
Diploma in Hospitality or other relevant fields. A Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
