Job description
Job Summary:
The Cost Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the cost-related processes at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives. The role requires expertise in monitoring the hotel’s financial performance through effective cost management, inventory control, and variance analysis, ensuring the hotel's financial targets are met while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze and monitor daily costs, ensuring they align with the hotel’s budget and operational objectives.
· Prepare monthly cost reports for management, highlighting variances, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction.
· Oversee inventory control, including conducting regular stock audits and maintaining accurate records of all items.
· Collaborate with various departments (F&B, Purchasing, Housekeeping, etc.) to establish and maintain cost-effective processes.
· Ensure compliance with financial policies, standards, and procedures.
· Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasting, providing input on cost efficiency strategies.
· Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to approved budgets.
· Identify areas for cost savings without compromising service quality or guest experience.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· Previous experience as a Cost Controller, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
· Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and cost control strategies.
· Proficient in financial software and MS Excel.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in the Maldives or remote island locations is an advantage.
