Job description
The Groups Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Groups Manager. This will include but not be limited to inquiry management, creating banquet event orders and billing. The Groups Coordinator is also responsible for planning and servicing sales groups. This includes menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services.
Responsibilities also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post-event with external clients and pertinent hotel staff. This communication includes obtaining and detailing all food, beverage, setup-up and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review to ensure a high level of service. The Groups Coordinator is the on-site contact and is responsible for the smooth execution of groups and events.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, has a friendly demeanor, and will feel comfortable interacting directly with guests over the phone or in person. They will have the ability to learn new computer programs, multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills and will be ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. The Groups Coordinator is critical to cross-departmental communication and ensuring events are successful with the highest of guest satisfaction.

Qualifications :
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
· 3 years of previous administrative or relevant experience
· Refined verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient knowledge of computer applications
· Prior customer service experience required
· A degree in hospitality or equivalent experience is plus
· Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task
