About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Chef de Partie - Breakfast Chef to join our team at Hyatt Place Caribbean Park Melbourne. As a Chef de Partie - Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious breakfast dishes for our guests in a casual and friendly work environment. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.
What you'll be doing

Preparing a wide variety of breakfast dishes, including hot items, continental items, and made-to-order options
·
Ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest quality standards
·
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace throughout service
·
Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation
·
Providing excellent customer service to our guests
·
Collaborating with the wider hospitality team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
What we're looking for
·
Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef or Line Cook, preferably in a hotel setting
·
Strong cooking skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
·
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
·
Excellent communication and customer service skills
·
Flexibility to work early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Qualifications :
Qualifications
· Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a large hotel or restaurant.
· Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
· Hands on leadership skills that fosters a positive Hyatt culture resulting in a team that is inspired to achieve results
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Proven knowledge and experience in all operational and functional aspects of kitchen administration
· Ability to manage labor and food costs within a budget
· Strong focus on OH&S and Food Safety Systems i.e. HACCP
