Job description

As an Assistant HR Manager at Andaz London Liverpool Street I'm a key person in the HR Team, supporting the HR manager and having my owns areas of responsibility while also managing the more junior members of the team including the Employee Restaurant Team.

My role is a true HR generalist position and I'm involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle including recruitment and selection, employee relations, payroll management an reward and recognition; due to the diversity of my role it's important i keep up to date with any changes or developments in employment law and legislation that may affect or impact our business in any way. I understand how HR can influence and drive the business with our people being at the centre of that strategy; as such, it's my responsibility to make sure we have a timely and robust approach to our recruitment campaigns and that we use the most effective channels available to source quality candidates and reduce our overall time to hire.

I'm also involved in project work and coming up with new ideas and proposals to streamline our HR process or to deliver innovative solutions within the operation that demonstrate the care we have for our colleagues. The diversity within our team and my role really lets me be creative and develop ideas that may then be introduced as new process within our department or the wider operation. Attention to detail is important as I am in charge of the payroll preview and administration for the hotel, this includes checking the payroll preview and making sure all associates are paid correctly and on time; I also focus on ensuring our departmental compliance remains on track throughout the year.

Our Employee Restaurant Team works hard to please all our associates and make sure we deliver great service and food. I support them by helping them to do their rotas and I am here for them should they have any problems.

We use social media as a main communication channel both internally and externally so it's important that I'm proficient user and that we use it to the best of our advantage. Not only myself but the whole HR team tries to embody our brand values of fun, creativity and integrity; no two are ever the same and I thrive on the variety my role brings to me.
