What does the ROLE entail?

· Working alongside the Front Office Manager in supervising, coaching, counseling and training the team to reflect our service standards and procedures;

· Ensuring all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures;

· Verifying that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated;

· Performing all Front Office operational tasks as needed, to facilitate service and show presence;

· Analyzing, investigating, resolving and documenting all guest complaints;

· Maintaining excellent communication with housekeeping department, relaying information on expected and early arrivals, VIP's, moves, turndown service, group arrivals and special requests;

· Coordinating reports from guests regarding rooms requiring urgent maintenance;

· Preparing schedules, wages and attendance lists;

· Actively participating in the selection of Front Office employees.

Your EXPERIENCE:

· At least 2 years of experience working as Front Office Supervisor or Assistant Manager, having great leadership skills alongside encompassing knowledge of operations and administration;

· A relevant degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management, or equivalent experience;

· Very familiar with Amsterdam and everything she has to offer;

· Great language and communication skills in English and in Dutch (both mandatory);

· You do not hold back from all front desk related administrative tasks, projects and responsibilities.

· Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
