Job description

As an Andaz Door Host, I am the first point of contact between the Guests and the Hotel. My first encounter with the guests gives them a glimpse of what to expect while staying with us.

I am multitasking and work very closely with the other Hosts.

I welcome the guests in the Hotel or answer any question they may have about the local area, I therefore need to be aware of what is happening in East London. I'm also a concierge! What I really appreciate is that we can all use our own suitable introduction system. The Welcoming is not scripted; we just need to be professional and very welcoming.

I also assist guests with their luggage on arrival and departure, might take them to the room or store them in our storage area.

My position requires a lot of attention to details and a professional attitude. What I really enjoy, is to talk to all these different type of guests from different parts of the work and adapt my manners and attitude depending on the culture!

Of course, being an Andaz Door Host has its challenges. During winter it is very cold outside, this means that you need to be proactive and engage with the guests more. But above all, I do the job with all my heart and have the feeling I make a difference!

The Front Office Team is amazing and we are all a big Happy Family. We all have different backgrounds and cultures, which creates a fun and fast paced environment. We all work towards the same goal: Guest Satisfaction and Personalised Service.
