One of the best situated hotels in Birmingham city centre, Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a modern hotel that enjoys a prime central location. Our luxury hotel is just opposite the brand new Library of Birmingham and five minutes walk from the exclusive Mailbox and Bull Ring shopping centres, as well as Broad Street and Brindley Place. The hotel features 319 luxury rooms and suites, our signature Aria Restaurant and, Gentleman and Scholar tavern where guests can enjoy a selection of local beers, fine wines, Champagne and cocktails, 10 meeting and event rooms and Amala Spa & Club for wellness/beauty treatments and pool and gym.

Fantastic opportunities have become avilable for 6 month internships, based in Accounts. You will have a unique opportunity to apply your recently acquired academic knowledge within a working environment.

Working 5 out of 7 days per week on a rotation basis, you will align your values to Hyatt's core values, combining your innovative mind with a can do approach. You will be given the opportunity to handle quite complex situations. It's going to be hard work, but fun and exciting. Training is provided within the department you are assigned, however you will have lots of common sense, confidence and a natural ability to embrace what is put before you. Your personality will blend naturally to provide authentic hospitality and that's the basics we require along with impeccable grooming.

We want the best to apply, you must be in the top 1/3 percentile of your cohort and have worked within a hotel before. This opportunity is for undergraduates only.

In return for this hands on operational training, you can expect the following:

Opportunities are for a minimum of 6 months only. This is an unpaid opportunity.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

You will be studying towards a hospitality degree that requires a 6 month unpaid placement. You must have a formal English qualification, IELTS 7.0 or equivalent. Your communication skills will be excellent together with your ability to work as part of a team. A sense of humour and a smile are equally important.
