Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Traded Risk Business Analyst .

Principal responsibilities

· This is a risk transformation role, as part of the Traded Risk function, to support and manage the risk system changes in the Asia Pacific region.
· It requires good understanding of counterparty credit risk and market risk as a result of the Global Markets business activities, and also requires solid business analysis and project management skills.
· Responsible for the roll out of global counterparty credit and market risk systems in Asia Pacific regions.
· Implements major changes on global risk systems and processes in Asia to support the regulatory changes and business strategies in Global Markets.
· Works closely with regional and group risk stakeholders as well as the Asia business to analyze and agree the risk system requirements.
· Manages and runs projects effectively and follows the Group business transformation framework. Drives projects progress against plans, understands, challenges and proactively manages the key project risks and issues.
· Work with a diverse group of project stakeholders to influence strategic direction to meet business goals and support benefits realization.

Requirements

·  Solid working experience in Global Markets environment, with relevant exposure in the risk industry an advantage.
·  Strong communicator both verbal and written with a comprehensive understanding of content and context.
·  Solid business analysis and project management skills.
·  Able to prioritize and manage demands from multiple projects with strong problem solving skills.
·  Manage stakeholders proactively with good negotiation and influencing skills.
·  Self motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability. Able to work independently and perform under pressure.
·  Positive, dynamic and resilient individual, open to change and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
