Role of the Team


The Technical Business Analysis team is part of the Global Trade Reporting Regulatory Programme, and is responsible for definition and delivery of detailed functional and technical requirements for future business requirements resulting from the introduction of new Trade Reporting rules by the various Global Regulatory Bodies.

The Technical Business Analyst will work on trade reporting releases involving multiple regulators with a 4 month life cycle. The scope of the work will cover trade reporting solutions using trades executed across Credit, Rates, FX, Commodities and Equities and ETD asset classes globally, and for a number of regulations, including: EMIR, HKMA, DFA, Canada, Russia, MAS, ASIC and other regulations at the discretion of the Trade Reporting Programme.
 
 
Objectives


The Technical Business Analyst will work collaboratively with Solution Designers to define the detailed functional requirements for specific business requirements.

The role requires writing detailed technical stories that define the technical requirement, have suitable sample trade and reference data and define the test conditions.

Stories must be clear enough for stakeholder approval and for developers to commence development. Technical Business Analysts will need to present completed stories to both developers and senior Solution Design team.

The role is to act as an SME for each piece of work from technical design , through development until testing is complete. This includes providing SME support to developers and testers. Also involves acting in triage role for defect investigation.

Objective is successful delivery of solution to production not just document production.

In doing so, the team member will work closely with the assigned HSBC Programme Manager, Release Managers, the business and technology design and development teams.
 
 
Success criteria / Deliverables


Deliver detailed stories that fully describe required functionality, and can be successfully developed and tested.

Ability to work as part of a Global Team, working across different time zones and with different teams.

Understanding of trade capture flows (e.g. booking scenarios for OTC products & related clearing activities), as well as middleware, counterparty reference data, confirmation & clearing processes), preferably across a variety of OTC Asset Classes.

RTC, Quality Centre, FpML and Trade reporting experience preferred
