MSS Global Markets Technology team is responsible to run the FX, Fixed Income, Balance Sheet Management, and other Global Markets platforms that offer order management and execution stack right from client message in through to order message on the exchange and to settlement and accounting platforms. The team is responsible to run Global Markets platforms while closely working with local and regions business and operations teams. The team’s contribution is crucial in not only build new solutions and platforms but, provide resiliency and business continuity in this key market for HSBC. The team is located in Mumbai at HSBC India Headquarters at M.G. Road

but collaborates across other global locations such as Pune, Hong Kong, London and New York, Paris, etc.

 

Principal Responsibilities 

We are looking for a senior technology portfolio/program manager to partner with business leadership in delivering technology platform evolution to support the growth ambitions in the region. Candidate should have strategic thinking, strong

stakeholder management, technology leadership capabilities in geographically spread multi-cultural environment. For India Global Markets Technology portfolio, you are required to forge strong partnership with business locally and globally, think

strategically and can navigate the organization to realise that strategic goal. Ideal candidate  should face off to business colleagues from Front Office, Finance, Operations, Research, Risk, Global Banking and other allied business / support functions of

the entity.

 

Requirements

Leadership and Strategic Thinking

·  Develop and execute on a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the business objectives
·  Lead and manage a team of technology professionals in a collaborative and high-performance culture to deliver practical and efficient solutions in region as facilitate import of technology from the global franchise, where applicable.
·  Proven experience in technology leadership roles within the securities brokerage sector
·  Proven track record in delivering large scale platform transformation projects.

 

Technical 

 

·  Front office trading technology, preferably Global Markets technology experience
·  Knowledge of local technology landscape including vendor tech and regulatory platforms and it’s management
·  Agile delivery mindset with ability to drive clear business outcomes

 

Business

·  Broad and deep understanding of the Global Markets business as well as Market structure knowledge and the relevant regulatory environment
·  Foster strong partnership and collaborate with senior stakeholders from the business, supporting functions, and compliance teams.

 

The role holder needs to be an excellent communicator, comfortable communicating directly with all levels of the business and the wider technology organization, able to range up and down the detail depending on audience and need, can think
