We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and execute China ecosystem partnership strategies to achieve Business Banking's strategic priorities
• Lead and own strategic partnership engagements, pitches, deal negotiations and related industry analysis to achieve the China partnership strategy in focused sectors
• Manage partners and internal stakeholders with an agile approach to ensure excellent delivery
• Lead partnership meetings to ensure strategic objectives are achieved and maintained. Mange and nurture excellent relationship with partnerships for long-term collaboration
• Project management to ensure delivery of projects, POCs, sprint planning, mange partner onboarding and work closely with Customer Intelligence team to deliver projects
• Responsible for managing partnership risk/ conflict of interests associated with partner selection, contractual relationship and partnership operating model
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders from Global/ Product teams to deliver joint-up propositions
• Inform on external market trends and current thought leadership, including competitor analysis, identifying potential development opportunities for CMB
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Proven experience in executing strategic partnership opportunities
• Knowledge of the local Fin-techs/ Banks' digital innovation trend and competition in China
• Relationship/stakeholder management and influencing skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both mandarin Chinese and English with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
• Commercial banking frontline / Fin-tech working experience in China is an advantage for this role
• Be curious – Whilst fintech and technology innovation experience is advantageous, an inquisitive and curious mind-set around banking technology and the changing external fintech landscape is a must
• Demonstrate a focus on execution – components of this role will be new to HSBC and the industry, and a successful candidate will need to influence others with a desire 'to get things done' by key deadlines
• Project management/ strategy experience is an advantage but not essential
