HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) serves as a core service provider to Global Banking and Markets (GB&M) and Commercial Banking (CMB) customers. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our GPS MENAT team in Dubai, U.A.E. The role is within a team of three and is responsible for the end-to-end management of the Cross Border Cross Currency products across the whole of MENAT.

In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the bank to lead key payment infrastructure projects including AFAQ, BUNA, ISO adoption & commercialization.
- Deliver customer experience improvements through projects including cut off time extensions and AutoFX conversion.
- Lead commercialisation activities for Global Disbursements (GD) and Beneficiary Self-Management (BSM).
- Complete regular evaluation of competitor Payment solutions and pricing reviews to ensure GPS solutions are future proof and pricing is aligned to the market and customer commitments.
- Proactively manage product development costs to deliver solutions which meet customers’ needs and are profitable.
- Engage with Client Groups, Compliance, Tax, Legal, GFX, GPS IT and GPS Operations to ensure product is fit for purpose; maintaining an open and transparent communication that engenders teamwork  resolution of escalated issues.
- Engage with Regional E-channels teams, Innovation and Digital Business Services (DBS) and Information Technology to ensure changes to Payment Products and Services are planned, actioned, and reviewed.
- Build strategic partnerships with FinTech’s to bolster efficiency and target new opportunities and incremental payment flows.
- Improve employee engagement of staff at all levels.
- Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy. 
- Foster a compliance culture. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
- Proactively support risk mitigation measures to protect the Bank and its customers from all regulatory, compliance and service issues.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Prior experience in GPS preferable with strong knowledge of the evolving payments landscape in the region. 
- The role will demand strong commercial acumen and technical background of Payments Products 
- Proven ability in identifying and proactively meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services.
- A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
- Clear understanding of the market, trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work in a rapidly changing technical environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability deliver creative and customer centric solutions.
- Adaptable to a multinational organisation working across many specialisms, markets, and cultures.
- Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
