Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Partnerships.
Principal responsibilities
To expand HSBC Global Asset Management’s business platform with external distributors and partnerships in Hong Kong.
Identify market opportunities to best position Asset Management Group Funds against competitors to increase funds flow on existing platforms and broaden representation with new distributors.
Work collaboratively within the Partnership team and within the broader Wholesale Team to deliver a proactive, professional and service oriented distribution platform
Deliver a market competitive service platform.
Develop an active contact schedule with third party distributors in Hong Kong to strengthen relationships
Deliver sales ideas to distributors and improve awareness of Asset Management Group's investment outlook and products.
Ensure Asset Management Group is favorably positioned as a key provider on third party platforms positioning us to gain market share.
Leverage the Market Strategist position holder to increase our communication with distributors and build our brand and investment capability awareness.
Actively contribute to the development of materials for use in the field. Topics could vary from investment principles, market updates, fund profiles and or performance updates.
Share market information to enable Asset Management Group to enhance its corporate knowledge and improve competitiveness across product, service and marketing.
Leverage business acumen in demonstrating a strong understanding of the customer needs and translating these into a service proposition that supports Asset Management Group as a key provider
Build/strengthen relationships with our targeted distributors, developing contacts to support Asset Management Group activity.
Increase distributor satisfaction with responsive, tailored service, open dialogue and ‘can-do’ attitude
Provide insight and market knowledge to deliver support which is valued by distributors and investors.
Collaborate with colleagues fostering professionalism and a strong positive relationship. Support others as required
Identify local and regional business trends which enable Asset Management Group to meet business objectives
Share market insights and best practices with the Wholesale Business to support our business model.
Ensure investment, market and Fund knowledge is current and appropriate for the role. Work with Asset Management Group portfolio managers to maintain insight and expertise.
Comply with all Group policies
Understand operational processes and procedures, and their implications. Escalating concerns as soon as practical to minimize disruption.
Desired profile
Requirements
University graduate. Post graduate is preferred, but not required
Substantial years of experience with solid track record in building and managing range of third party distribution channel clients in Hong Kong
Past work history with globally renown asset management houses in a client acquisition capacity
Strong investment, market and fund knowledge and can act as a figurehead and speak to the general public or group of industry professionals in both English and Chinese
Proficient in both verbal and written English and Cantonese
