Senior Loan Administrator Agent - Deals Operations

Job description

Seamless coverage utilizing Loan IQ functionality to support the Loan Agency business. Including but not limited to Origination of Syndications, Non Agency, primary and secondary trading. Supporting GBM, CMB, Project finance including all other business lines and assisting manager with projects. The position requires strict deadlines are met, understanding of IT systems used by the team. Individual should be a self –starter and will work in accordance with agreed procedures and facility-specific Documentation.

Responsibilities
· Ability to analyze credit agreements and related documentation
· Experience in all varieties of loan servicing including agency services and funding responsibilities
· Understanding all aspects of deal/loan closing and administration functions
· Construct bilateral and syndicated deal structures in Loan IQ
· Trouble-shoot basic Loan IQ functional problems/issues
· Construct assignment and participation purchase and sales in Loan IQ
· Process via LIQ Amendments, Waivers and extensions.
· Review and approve loans borrowing, rollover, principal repayment, Bankers Acceptance.
· Review approve and release funds
· Review and approve any discrepancies of interest and fees.
· Perform account reconciliations, Cash and LIQ to FTP reconciliation for daily and month-end reporting purposes
· Ability to review and approve Primary and Secondary assignments through LIQ and Clearpar.
· Handling withholding tax (FATCA)
· Acting as facility agent, to provide support to Lenders, Borrowers and Business.
· Perform deal and funding approval functions.
· Assisting manager on project within department.
· Understanding of LIQ accounting including PNL event impact.
· Assist in review and updating of the department procedures.
· Manage direct reports
Management of Risk
· Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Strong analytical skills on all loan related products
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience in Syndicated loan products
·  Must have extensive LIQ processing experience (minimum of 2 years)
·  Must have in depth knowledge of Primary, secondary and Third party trading.
·  Good interpersonal skills, being able to work well with others within a small team environment
·  Strong understanding of operational risk.
·  Good written and verbal communication skills
·  Experience of dealing with key client relationships
·  Highly organised and self-motivated with a pro-active problem solving attitude
·  Able to deliver high work standards within the team
·  Experience with Secondary/Third Party Trades using market trading platforms such as Clearpar.
