The role of Manager – Product Risk Governance directly supports IWPBs Retail Product Business and reports directly to the Senior Manager Product Risk Governance IWPB. The purpose of the position is to support the Senior Manager of Product Risk Governance to enable and validate that colleagues within IWPB Retail Products deliver best in class products, propositions, and processes to all our customers, colleagues and the Bank itself whilst mitigating associated risks that surround them.

Your main responsibilities will include:

·  Execution of the Control strategy to improve risk and control management for Retail Products 

·  Acts as the escalation point for all complex Product Risk governance and control related matters

·  Providing control expertise and opining on the end to end health of the control environment across IWPB product lines

·  Support the implementation of Group Risk policies and frameworks for Risk Management incl. embedding of Operational Risk Transformation actions. 

·  Managing internal and external audit requirements for Retail Products.

·  Frequent engagement with IWPB ExCO and Risk, Compliance and Assurance (RCA) counterparts on issues related to monitoring, controls and remediation.

·  Increasing risk and control awareness and capability within the Retail Products team 

·  Ensure effective systems, procedures and control infrastructure is in place to support product delivery

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

·  Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field (preferred but not mandatory) with relevant experience in Risk and control Management, ideally in a retail product environment

·  Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to Senior Management using simple language 

·  Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, political, competitors etc.).  

·  Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior executives across multiple functions.  

·  Ability to build senior relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with senior executives, non-executives, regulators, third parties and internal management teams.  

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
