We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Securities Lending Trader .

Principal responsibilities
· To effectively lend out client portfolios in Asian time zone to optimise revenues in Asia through trading of client portfolios, ensuring that a high level of customer service is maintained within agreed mandate including prevailing credit and risk policies.
· HSBC Securities Services provides a range of securities services to a client base which includes sovereign wealth funds, major insurance companies and asset managers, wholesale and investment banks, government agencies, investment trusts, collective investment schemes, corporates and pension funds.
· Provide input into the formulation and maintenance of the Asian securities lending strategic development plan.
· Seek and maximise profitable income streams by building and maintaining effective business relationships with market counterparts in Asia.
· Establish and maintain relationships with trading counterparties in Asia.
· Ensure that HSBC Securities Services develops and consistently maintains a premier quality reputation, internally and externally, for the Securities Lending aspects of its business.

Desired profile

Requirements
·  Solid track record and able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the securities lending and general Asian securities market.
·  Excellent communications and presentation skills.
·  The jobholder must comply with all requirements of the Financial Services Authority Approved Persons Regime and Hong Kong Monetary Authority registration requirements.
·  The jobholder is subject to compliance with Financial Services Authority and Hong Kong Monetary Authority rules, general Bank guidelines and normal budgetary disciplines.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
