Senior Compliance Manager, Private Banking - Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC's regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues. The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change. It monitors how the Global Businesses and Functions manage their responsibilities with regard to complying with the regulations and helps resolve compliance deficiencies.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Compliance Manager.

In this role, you will:
· Provide pro-active Regulatory Compliance stewardship to the UK Private Banking business;
·
Serve as the main point of contact for the First Line of Defence in relation to regulatory matters pertaining to established internal guidelines and external regulations;

·
Ensure the provision of quality, timely and accurate guidance on established internal guidelines and external regulations;

·
Participate in relevant industry forums and lobbying groups, for example UK Finance;

·
On going review of existing systems and controls within the business to ensure that they remain fit for purpose;

·
Develop and deliver compliance training as appropriate.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements :
·  Significant experience in UK regulation specifically private banking, asset management experience;
· 
A compliance related qualification, e.g. CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance, International Compliance Association (ICA) certificates;

· 
Specific investment, wealth management or financial planning exams are an advantage e.g. CISI, CFA, CII, IMC, IFS;

· 
Specific compliance advisory experience, working directly with the First Line of Defence and senior management;

·  Presenting to senior stakeholders;
· 
Significant experience in investments, banking and lending.

The base location for this role is Cork Street, London
