Job description
The Process Consultant role is based within HSBC Operations in the UK. The successful candidate can be based at Leeds, Sheffield, Chester or Birmingham
The role of the Process Consultant is to manage and execute process re-engineering efforts within a portfolio of re-engineering projects or to play a key role in one of the global priority re-engineering programmes.
Process Consultants will work at the project / process level and will be accountable for managing and delivering discreet deliverables.
Process Consulting engagements involve re-engineering end to end business processes, e.g. from customer request to back office fulfillment, including all the sub-process and functions involved – commencing with process definition, through analysis, design and into implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work with the business stakeholders and GCD teams to understand business objectives and opportunities to deliver re-engineering projects
Build relationships and credibility with key business stakeholders on each project in order to aid effective delivery and maximum benefit
Build customer focused solutions, identifying additional customer needs and involving customers in solution development
Work with management to define data driven, value focused solution options and provide recommendations, weighing up investment vs. return
Proactively research and develop innovative ideas / products / services which are new to HSBC and / or Industry
Facilitate and motivate project teams throughout end to end project delivery
Evaluate the success of each project through rigorous checkpoints and on-going measurement and analysis
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Business Change, IT transformation, Process re-engineering
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Strong in their practical application of lean six sigma principles and techniques
Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Process Consultant, Process Analyst, Business Analyst, OPI Manager
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Candidates will have to demonstrate flexibility in terms of working hours and travel to other locations.
Proven experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer service and proactively look for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers
A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
Dealt effectively with highly complex commercial information and business challenges to create strategic business plans which effectively deliver results
The base location for this role is Leeds, Sheffield, Chester or Birmingham.
