Role Purpose
· Join the UHNW International team as a junior RM, reporting to the Senior RM/MD and the Desk Head.
· The role owner will be an exceptional business originator and client focused individual.
· Geographical coverage of the UHNW International team: UK RNDs from continental Europe and emerging markets.
· As the team intends to grow further its already significant book of UHNW French clients, candidate must be a fluent French speaker and if possible French educated.
· The UHNW international team is extremely focused on investments, listed markets and private equity, Lombard lending and large bespoke credit transactions covering trophy assets financing to meet its revenue targets. The team uses different booking jurisdictions.
· The Relationship Manager will acquire, maintain and grow profitable long-term relationships with UHNW RND plus manage some existing business.
· The RM will have NNM, Mandate, lending and revenue targets.
· The RM will support Team`s aggressive growth plan through the following tasks:
· Originate new UHNW clients through investment AUM, lending and Advisory services from own network.
· Identifying and converting referral opportunities through the Group network.
· Grow revenues across allocated portfolio, successfully manage and serve existing business relationships and originate new revenue streams.
· Grow HSBC's share of client wallet involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements.
· Co-ordinate origination and execution of activities across the spectrum of Global Banking & Markets products/service.
· Establish and maintain networks for co-operation with other HSBC businesses, to support the creation of solutions to customer needs that span geographical/product boundaries and regulatory environments.
· Combine client relationship management with strong risk assessment and management capabilities ensuring the required credit quality & requisite returns on risk.
· Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Identify event driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, bringing in sector/country expertise as appropriate.
· Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
Key Accountabilities
Impact on Business
· Grow revenue, increase AUM of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, internal channels and RM network.
Customers / Stakeholders
· Has regular contact and meetings with clients and providers of new business introductions.
· Act as the first point of contact for clients for all queries relating to their relationship with HSBC Private Bank: across all products and services and Onshore and Offshore booking centres.
· Provides support to client's portfolio management.
· Ensures client's objectives are met through the portfolio allocation.
· Ensures clients are aware of their level of risk.
· Follows-up portfolios on a regular basis and develops client's profitability.
· Identifies opportunities to meet the credit needs of clients seeking secured and unsecured loans for a variety of purposes.
· Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
Leadership & Teamwork
· Provides coaching and guidance to Junior team members and creates opportunities to develop their knowledge and experience level.
· Wiil be perfect team player.
· Lead by example by exhibiting behaviours consistent with HSBC values.
· Provide assistance to fellow Relationship Managers at the team level.
· Work closely with other Bank Departments.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Works closely with other Bank Departments to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Ensures follow-up on all risk and compliance issues (such as CCR, KYC, Compliance requests, Risk Management requests, Internal Audit requests).
· Minimize operational losses.
Role Dimensions
· All new relationships in UHNW International space start from USD30M. We look after families, entrepreuneurs, single family office. The approach is almost an institutional one at the level of service and complexity of clients. We start relationship with prospects whose networth is in excess of USD100m. Knowledge of trusts, complex corporate structures, different jurisdictions is a must.

Qualifications :
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
· Minimum Level 6 qualification (PCIAM or equivalent).
· Demonstrable track record of client portfolio management and new client acquisition within our target segment.
· Deep understanding of financial markets and complex wealth management solutions as applicable to the target client segment including lending solutions.
· Track record of building successful relationships with both an internal and external referral network is preferred.
