We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Information Technology Project Manager.
 
Principal responsibilities
To coordinate the activities of IT Development and Operations teams, user departments, and other service departments, and external parties such as software and hardware suppliers to deliver assigned projects on time, within budget and meeting appropriate levels of quality. The jobholder is the key player in the timely delivery of projects that meet business needs.  They are ultimately responsible for all IT related project decisions and understand both the business objectives and the development and operations team contribution for their assigned projects.  Typically this role works on local systems or subsystems of major local systems.  This job applies to both IT Development and IT Operations projects.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage the development and implementation of IT systems
Manage the collaboration with business, IT and external parties
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
Lead and develop the project management function

Requirements
The jobholder has to have an excellent knowledge of the project management discipline and can put the discipline into practice. He or She is required to understand the business requirement, have a strong commercial orientation and can appreciate the business usage of system developed. He or she is also required to possess sufficient technical knowledge in order to work effectively with IT developers. The jobholder must be a good communicator with good presentation and negotiation skills. He or she must also have strong interpersonal skills to foster partnership among project participants and collaborate with them to ensure successful project delivery.
The jobholder works with IT Development and IT Operations project teams to draw up project plan, which includes defining scope and allocating resources. He or she coordinates with different parties to execute the project plan, and to monitor progress and resolve any project issues with the participants along the way. This is an Individual Contributor job that offers specialized expertise to the project team in project management.  He or she does not have direct reports but works closely with a group of IT Developers, IT Operations staff, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Test Specialists, Development Specialists, Data Services Specialists, Enterprise Architects, among others.
