The GCIO COO function operates as the backbone of the GCIO organisation, taking ownership and accountability for operational aspects to ensure a seamless running of the GCIO business to exceptionally high standards. The Chief Technology Office (CTO) ensures HSBC's technology is reliable, secure, and scalable, providing the foundations for business growth and enabling seamless customer transactions anytime, anywhere. 
This role sits within the Workforce Strategy and Management function of GCIO COO and will play a key part in shaping how we plan, manage and evolve our CTO Platforms workforce to meet business opportunities.

What you’ll do
• Provide an exceptional service to the CTO Platforms team and their Hiring Managers, helping them meet their objectives while balancing financial and headcount constraints.
• Maintain an accurate headcount plan and forecast, flagging risks to achieving headcount targets and proposing practical mitigation options.
• Develop clear, data-led narratives that communicate actionable workforce insights to the CTOp WFM and Operations Management teams.
• Lead the approval process for new headcount requests, applying appropriate challenge and due diligence while ensuring approvals are secured at pace.
• Support transformation programmes and strategic initiatives, including benefit delivery, diversity and inclusion, location strategy, and organisational design.
• Deliver regular management reporting and provide ad-hoc workforce analysis and insights to meet evolving business needs.
• Resolve issues and remove blockers to enable delivery and maintain momentum.
• Drive continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and enhance processes.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a proven track record of delivering results within complex, matrixed organisations.
• Skilled at synthesising complex information to enable data-driven decision-making and support positive business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of technology workforce management requirements in banking, alongside awareness of the external landscape, including regulatory, political, competitor, and broader market dynamics.
• Highly proficient in data analysis tools and software, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Able to build and sustain long-term relationships with highly critical and senior stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and outcomes.
• Proven expertise in strategy, business planning, governance, and stakeholder management, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of financial and headcount data and related tooling, including Pioneer, Discover, and GPDM.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 15108 PLN - 21000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
