The HSBC Contact centre is a key contributor to the HSBC retail banking framework in Australia. This role presents an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment where you are a contributor to the business while forging a career with an international bank.
Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in meeting customer needs by offering the right products through the right channels to the right customer segments, thereby maximising value and business revenue. Responsible for achieving sales and revenue objectives and implementing distribution strategy, the team drives the delivery of market leading retail customer experiences.
We are currently seeking expression of interest from ambitious and self- driven individuals to join our Sydney based team based in our Parramatta Office. This role is responsible for actively identifying customer needs and driving new business and referrals through targeted campaigns. The sales activities include account opening, credit card acquisition, personal loans, and general insurance as well as identifying home loan and wealth opportunities for the business. In addition, the jobholder may be required to take on other responsibilities, as directed by their manager.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Contribute to the front line sales delivery of personal products and services
· Achieve set referral and sales Minimum Standards
· Build rapport in the first instance with a customer as well as be able to build strong internal relationships for an effective hand over of customer to RM/Branch
· Assist in renewing and building customer relationships.
· Actively promote the full range of products to customers in liaison with other related entities
· Actively involve with the ‘customer driven' retention strategies as directed by managers to ensure customers are retained
· Promote sales opportunities by referring business to appropriate colleagues
· Providing and generating warm referrals and leads for other channels.
· Ensure that complaints are handled according to Bank Policy and that the complaints database is maintained in terms of guidelines
· To be able to react quickly and respond efficiently to a customer's objection.
Desired profile
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· University Degree qualified highly preferred. Welcome candidates who are in second or last year university and able to work during day time.
· Strong sales culture and ability
· Highly motivated and self driven and ability to work in a target based environment
· Ability to work effectively within a high performing team
· Ensure at all times the highest level of customer service is provided
· A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within a similar role with previous exposure with demonstrated results in achieving sales objectives
· Previous retail/ hospitality experience is highly regarded
· Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Work Right in Australia.
· Cantonese and or Mandarin speaking skill is bonus.
