Digital Security Solution Architect, Global Private Banking

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC's global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world's leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.
We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.
Within Private Banking, we are moving at pace and the demands on the architecture are increasing. The Digital Solution Architect will combine deep experience of architecting and delivering customer centric platforms and solutions with personal skills and credibility to lead some of the best technical teams in product delivery. The Digital Solution Architect will take accountability for ensuring that the end-to-end digital solutions we create for our clients fulfil their expectations of high quality and cost-effectiveness.
Duties will be to:

Provide innovative and practical designs that account for the end to end solution of a function that is in line with the business objectives
·
Communicate short, medium and long term architecture in a business context to ensure relevant and addressing the business need
·
Work closely with analysts and tech leads to elaborate requirements
·
Proactive collaboration in the project team to help develop the product using your experience to help guide the team through the whole development lifecycle
·
Support strategic architectural direction and demonstrating adherence to enterprise architecture
·
Ensure governance requirements are captured, and audit requirements met. Demonstrating adherence to controls
·
Refactoring and continuous improvements of the code and processes is vital
·
Ensure that technical decisions and information is communicated through the global team
·
Ensure that risks are identified and mitigated or acknowledged as part of the agile development lifecycle
·
Contribute to the ongoing support of the digital apps and ecosystem
·
Collaborate with others, and you'll give thought about how software fits into the bigger picture
·
Be able to demonstrate you can work with a distributed team of Architects.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
·
Experience working in relevant environment/s and role i.e. Solutions architect in digital technologies, specifically application security and authorisation related.
·
Technical and business stakeholder management from developers to executive management
·
Experience of being accountable for significant architectural decisions and provide justification for decisions taken
·
Solid awareness of cross-browser/device “responsive” development
·
Knowledge of implementation considerations for UI technologies including jQuery, Websphere, React
·
Experience of security and authorisation solutions – Transmit, Forgerock, ASDS or equivalents
· Possess excellent technical knowledge in various security technologies (covering from endpoints, network, Web server, application server, database server, load balancer, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Detection/Prevention System and authentication services)
· Familiar with security vulnerabilities, identification and exploitation
·
Experience of API and service based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, micro-services and utilising JSON for web or mobile applications
·
CI/CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube
·
PaaS/IaaS – OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure & Cloudbees
·
DevOps processes and experience
·
Solid understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, ATDD and TDD
·
Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, XP
The base location for this role is London.
