Role Title:
Chief Data Officer – INMX
Role Purpose
(overall high level summary of the role)
This role will be responsible for architecting and delivering various data and information management solutions for Insurance México (INMX) towards achieving its strategic, transformational and operational objectives. This role holder will work with differnet business functions to drive the group data strategy and will assist them in realizing their data management needs. This role will be required to work across MX Insurance business, Finance and Risk to influence outcomes.
In this role, INMX Chief Data Officer will
Head all Data & Information Management activities for Insurance Business in that market
Responsible for providing coordination/direction for Data Governance and Data Quality Management activities within the respective market (Help establish data ownership, Drive data quality remediation planning/execution etc)
Responsible for gathering and prioritizing data and information management requirements at the country/market level (Includes Monitor Data request support, Strategic initiatives, MI Automation, Dashboard build out, Analytics Support, Digital Data Support, Regulatory Needs etc )
Working with in-market RBWM and CMB CDO communities as needed to support data related activities around customer, analytics support, digital etc
Plan country data management initiatives leveraging constructs like Insurance data lake and other capabilities to effect streamlining, FTE reduction through automation and operations efficiency improvement
Support country's efforts towards attaining data management policy compliance
Project/Program manage Group CDO led initiatives at the country level
Responsible for rolling out data governance and data quality management for the country
Coordination with local IT/HOST in implementing data & information management solutions and ATP Planning
Represent data management requirements and program manage country level data threads within large strategic programs
Represent Global Insurance CDO at the country level
Responsible for education and awareness around Data & Information Management related initiatives and programs
Provide country level support for regulatory and other mandated programs (ELC35, Data Privacy Policy Rollout, Golden Source identification, KPI Streamlining etc)
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or Professionally Qualified with 3-7 years of experience dealing directly with data management required; Master's degree in a related discipline desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, Wealth Management, and Commercial Banking) business processes and resultant information needs: client, risk / regulatory / finance, etc
Demonstrated knowledge of data structures, data systems/tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment
Understanding of Relational Data Base Management Systems (RDBMS) and other data base management systems and methodologies
Knowledge in data management tools such as SAS, Teradata, DB2, Hadoop etc.
Knowledge in Architecting and building Data Warehouses/Data Marts for Banking/Insurance industry
Knowledge in architecting and building Customer Data Management Solutions
Strong background and understanding of best practices in the Data and Information Management space
Proven record of effective leadership, including the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; building teams and consensus; getting things done through others not directly under his/her supervision; and working ethically
