The Wholesale Credit & Lending (WCL) Value Stream (VS) is embarking on an exciting global transformation journey, overseeing the comprehensive Credit and Lending processes across Wholesale Banking (Corporate & Institutional Banking). The WCL Value Stream is comprised of Sub-Value Streams and Enablers which are responsible for a defined scope and structure ensuring front-to-back enhancements and maintenance. Through this design the department can foster lasting change by enhancing technology and capabilities, promoting efficiency and automation, elevating risk management standards, and accelerating balance sheet velocity across the businesses. This is achieved by delivering sustaining infrastructure and capabilities to revolutionize Credit & Lending experiences for our customers, colleagues, and regulators.

The Value Stream construct allows us to focus on a single set of aligned objectives, collaborate to deliver our target architecture while maintaining the effective delivery of credit and lending services.

The WCL Value Stream Senior Manager will report to the Head of WCL Value Stream within Wholesale COO, and will have a range of functional responsibilities including management and leadership; the role holder will ensure the governance and the proper risk and control environment within the end-to-end credit process as well as act as a Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) and point of escalation for process issues engaging positively with different stakeholders as The Line of Business, Products, Legal, Wholesale Credit Risk, and GSC/Credit Services.

This role will also enable consistent communication of any KPI and operating practices or processes changes as appropriately to stakeholders to avoid the risk of any misinterpretation, ensuring a correct and trasnparent communication and documentation of the credit and lending services performance. This role will also contribute positively on credit matters for WCOO through Value Stream management and Strategic Change Programmes by assisting in identifying process improvements and supporting the delivery of transformational changes in the process.

Major Challenges

Working across multiple markets and business/functions with multiple delivery and business partner teams
Defining the approach and dealing with complex requirements and unique projects – often one off initiatives.
The systems and processes involved are often highly technical in nature or require specialist knowledge to fully understand and effectively support the credit process.

Experience

Proven understanding of the Credit Process and mexican local regulation.
Track record of leading delivery through teams directly and indirectly across local and remote environments
Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments
Evidence of managing and satisfying multiple stakeholders and perspectives in a fluid and changing environment
High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives

Requirements

Key Accountabilities

Coordination of the BSO Lending Forum
Support the Business in the End to End Lending Process
Identification and Execution of improvements in the Lending Processes by supporting the simplification and reduction in activity time.
Ensure the proper risk and control environment within end-to-end Credit Process 
Support the business in Internal and External Audits & Reviews
Elaboration of relevant MI
Ensure Lending Processes and Policy are well documented and updated
