We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Credit Administration Officer .
Principal responsibilities
· Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
· Implement the Group Policy as applicable to job holder's role
· Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with job holder's role, and ensure that all actions during the employment with HSBC take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring
· Prepare and check duly executed credit and security documentation and conditions precedent to ensure perfection prior to facility drawdown
· Maintain accurate and update credit limit and other credit related maintenance in systems
· Attend to registration of security documents, where necessary, within the prescribed timeframe, and follow up receipt of certificate of registration within reasonable time
· Filing and safekeeping of duly executed credit and security documentation in security and credit files
· Obtain and check updated company and writ search reports or certificate of good standing, where appropriate, on borrowers and security providers prior to facility drawdown or annual review due date.
· Handle cancel credit facility and prepare release of security documentation
· Attend to registration of release of security documents upon cancellation of credit facility
· Handle and follow up bank guarantee requests and renewal
· Obtain verbal valuation of the proposed properties and existing properties from appraisers upon request by Marketing
· Obtain and check valuation reports for real estate loans
· Obtain and check fire insurance policy together with the premium receipt upon policy expiry date
· Handle enquires from Marketing colleagues and provides solutions and alternatives
· Back up other colleagues during their absence
· Complete any adhoc tasks as assigned by supervisor or Team Head
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Requirements
· University graduate in Finance or Business Administration years of relevant experience with a multinational bank
· Good knowledge of Credit Administration, its activities and all aspects of risk elements involved.
· Control oriented, analytical, numerate, and meticulous
· Familiar with Credit Risk, Legal and Regulatory aspects of the banking business
· Proficient in speaking and written English and Putonghua or Chinese
