Job description

The Country Academy Lead role is based within HSBC's Learning function as the country representative for the Regional Academy responsible for HTS UK Learning reporting to the Regional Head of Learning, EMEA.
 
A potentially high impact role in a highly visible part of the bank. HBSC Technology Services purpose is to enable the success of the business and deliver outstanding value to our customers at every interaction.
 
With the opportunity to interact and network with peers in Europe, e.g. France, Germany, Turkey; career development and progression prospects are good. In time the incumbent could go move to a regional or global role as well gain further qualifications e.g.CIPD, Training Foundation - TAP.
 
Your responsibilities will include:


Responsible for the deployment of global HTS curriculum ensuring that solutions are appropriately deployed to agreed metrics, time scales and budget.

Take the lead on translation and localization as appropriate whilst deploying globally consistent learning curriculum reflecting market/legislation/legal requirements.

To work with the Regional Head of Learning and Regional Academy Lead ensuring that there is a prioritized and globally learning plan.

To pro-actively act a consultant on learning needs analysis, design, development of learning solutions with stakeholders from the business and HR.
Work in collaboration with 3rd party vendors and take accountability for the management of resource who may be responsible for the delivery of any part of the learning cycle in country.

Desired profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have:


Relevant buisness/product knowledge.

Experience working in a learning environment.

Experience working in Financial Services is desirable 

Past working experience in consultancy/relationship management.

Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Advanced Microsoft Office.

Availability to undertake some national travel required for this role.

Role relevant qualifications, i.e. CIPD, TAP are desirable but not essential.

A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers.

A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will have supported others to respond in a similar way.

Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field.

A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.

Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals.
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results.
The base location for this role is London / Nationwide.
