We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Corporate Banking Manager, Japan Desk.
Principal responsibilities
Identify opportunities and develop business with Japan headquartered commercial banking clients in Asia pacific
Communicate with clients closely to show HSBC’s strong capability and commitment within the region
Win significant regional deals based in Singapore collaborate with each banker in other sites in Asia and Coverage teams in Japan
Manage and enhance existing relationships with Japanese Corporates in Singapore
Maximise revenue and customer value at individual relationship level
Assure quality service for all customers by owning customer engagement, and ensuring service excellence at all times, for all aspects of any customer, prospect or professional’s interaction with HSBC
Desired profile
Requirements
Degree from a recognised institution
Japanese language proficiency
Strong general banking experience in a senior role with exposure in sales, commercial lending, credit structures, risk assessment and trade finance
In-depth knowledge of deposit products and of the concept of cash flows
Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong credit assessment skills, particularly with regards to more complex and structured facilities with an international dimension
Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
