We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Corporate Actions Officer.
 
Principal responsibilities
Perform checker and approver function for work prepared by the team in timely schedule and organize work to achieve optimum results
Supervise the whole process during corporate actions life cycles and take follow up action internally and externally to ensure no corporate events is missed or delayed
Coordinate and liaise of daily corporate actions issues with the Service Centre
Manage the maintenance of records to ensure input accuracy and the completeness of data entry and customer instruction
Ensure all procedures are carried out following the required processing steps and control points under your responsible areas
Maintain a high level standard of customer service and accuracy in works with respect to corporate actions and related duties
Proactively identify problems and provide solutions promptly as well as reporting any foreseeable operations problems and resources issues to provide preventive measures
Contribute in new business workflow planning as well as providing recommendations and planning to enhance customer services

Desired profile

Requirements
Good understanding of securities industry and possess adequate level of knowledge in global securities market  and products including equities, bonds, Certificate of Deposits, unit trust, or derivative products. 
Understanding of market convention and practice is a must
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with custodian, customers and service providers
Well developed communication and interpersonal skill
Good command of spoken and written English, with additional proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
Good knowledge and experience in using Custody Systems and Accounting and Valuation Systems
Proficient in Microsoft software suite including Excel and Word, as well as Lotus Notes
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
