We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: Wholesale Technology

 

Principal responsibilities

·  Provide technical leadership on platform engineering team for BAU (business as usual) including:
·  Support existing infrastructure maintenance and ever-greening.
·  Work with Infrastructure and relevant parties for new server’s setup.
·  Assist regular change management and application deployment.
·  Provide production and testing environment support.
·  Work with application teams to modernize existing system.
·  Support IT service management, work on Change management, support incident, knowledge base management and problem management.
·  Pro-actively identify server performance improvements, devise upgrade plans, and execute those plans in a timely manner.
·  Conduct performance monitoring and tuning.
·  Conduct server hardening and compliance configuration, manage vulnerabilities and configuration baseline.
·  Manage, evolve, build CI/CD pipelines.
·  Deliver solutions in a complex environment with distributed systems and applications.
·  Support to projects in building application or daily support work by:
·  Automating build processes.
·  Incorporating static code quality tools.
·  Helping identify code promotion qualities.
·  Including A/B, Canary, Blue/Green deployment patterns.

Requirements

·  Good experience on LDAP, Web Service middleware (like Apache, Nginx), Restful APIs.
·  Good knowledge on DBs (e.g. rational DBs like Oracle, MongoDB), middleware like Tomcat, alerting and monitoring (AppD/Dynatrace/Prometheus/Zabbix, etc.), crypto devices (like HSM appliances) and cert management.
·  Technical and proven understanding of publish & subscribe messaging.
·  Knowledge in JVM build/tuning.
·  Good understanding of network, especially about load balancers, DNS, and firewalls.
·  Proven experience in system capacity management and High Availability solutions with Disaster Recovery.
·  Proven work experience with security control and operations, deal with vulnerabilities and baseline management.
·  Ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
·  Experience working in an Agile environment.
·  Experience with containerization (like Docker) is a plus.
·  Experience with public cloud environments is a plus.
·  Experience with ForgeRock OpenAM and Transmit or any other financial authentication is a plus.
·  Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub experiences as desired.
·  Prove Good problem-solving, interpersonal and presentation skills.

 

What additional skills will be good to have?

·  A proactive personality with self-motivation, provide suggestions/way out for technical issues.
·  Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal)
·  3+ years of infrastructure and DevOps experience. Software development experience is a plus.
·  3+ years of enterprise working experience.
·  2+ years of Team leader experience and is a plus.•  Banking IT experience is an advantage
·  Business knowledge in commercial bank (especially HSBCnet) will be an advantage
