Job description

Enterprise Architect
 
HSBC Finance has recently approved the Future State Architecture (FSA).  The FSA calls for a simplification of the HSBC application environment and technical architecture to achieve savings of $1bn over 10 years.  Against this backdrop the Global Head of Corporate Functions Architecture will be responsible for setting out the FSA details across Finance, Human Resource & other Corporate Functions including setting out roadmaps and managing the governance required for these.
Role purpose
The role is responsible for the orchestrating the governance and development of simplification roadmaps to reduce the costs of Finance, HR & Corporate Functions and increase its effectiveness.
The role is responsible for the management of systems for Finance, HR & Corp Functions and driving regulatory reporting.  It is important in ensuring that Finance, HR & Corporate Functions Systems end to end plans are coherent and articulated to Sr. Mgmt in the business and to Regulators.
This Global role will lead a large
Financial Data Architect/ Working groups to define realistic roadmaps to approach the future state of Architecture

Role context
The Job holder will need to have the ability to set strategy and prioritize work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical and business environment, effectively coordinating the delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams.
The Job holder will need to be able to set strategy across a broad range of architecture, technical and business knowledge so as to address and balance the solution challenges from an end-to-end perspective.
Management of Risk
 
Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of architecture risks and operational risks and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and controls, loss identification and reporting in accordance with HSBC Technology and Services and IT policies in the Information Technology FIM, and section B.1.2 of the Group Operation Functional Instruction Manual
Observation and internal controls
Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimizing relations with regulators.
Implement and observe architecture internal control standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors. Foster a compliance culture and implement Information Technology Policy by managing architecture risks and diligently executing ratified the relevant architecture processes.
