You’ll have an impact on bringing digital-first banking to our customers by defining the future state architecture vision and strategies for our Global Businesses and Global Functions.

 

You’ll be developing business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to manage processes, systems, and technology complexity across the HSBC Group. Through dynamic, agile collaboration you’ll work closely with business partners to translate their requirements into integrated solutions that can be deployed globally using consistent service patterns for ease of deployment, support, and enhancement.

Enterprise Technology is the Technology organisation responsible for the design, build and ongoing maintenance of the systems owned by the Group Functions (Risk, Compliance, Finance, Core Banking, Corporate Functions and Deputy COO). The organisation consists of over 8,000 people working in collaboration across 14 countries, to support over 3,000 applications.

Business Analyst working with the Tech Billing, Charge and Transformation Lead for the Technology COO providing support to ensure that all critical items related to the full recovery of Tech costs:

·         Support the annual Planning process for Rates and key reference data.

·         Perform monthly controls to ensure that correct setup is being used across all tools.

·         Control recovery position for each Supplier and investigate the root cause of any deviation from full recovery.

·         Support the creation of detailed analysis on a wide range of items related to recovery, to explain, propose and implement better processes and activities.

·         Support the daily activities related to Change Management across constantly evolving functions.

 

In this role you will:

 

·         Support the Tech COO and function across all areas of intercompany charges and rate setting.  This includes (but is not limited to):

o    Ensure the maintenance of essential reference data, such as Rates and Normalisation factor

o    Provide on-going analysis of recovery critical items such as Timesheets, exceptional Finance items

o    Own and maintain central reporting to ensure the latest information is always available

o    Ensure our Stakeholders are kept informed of the latest activities, risks and changes

o    Support the team in their activities to ensure shared knowledge

·         Provide detailed analysis on any recovery issue, based on large volumes of data

·         Key point of contact within Technology for charges and any propsoed changes , providing monthly commentary, following up with relevant GBGFs on all outstanding areas of concerns that may affect Tech ability to full recovery its cost.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

·         Proven experience in an intercompany charges and rate setting environment.

·         Knowledge of Billing and/or FTE Rate setting

·         Comfortable with large amount of data and summary to key notes for senior management.

·         Strong ability to translate large data sets into multi-dimensional views to support all stakeholders

·         Strong technical knowledge of Excel and Power Query desirable

·         Strong communication skills to be able influence and challenge stakeholders

·         Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

·         Knowledge and understanding of the potential Risk and Controls that impact IT COO

 

 

This role is based in Sheffield.
