Job description
The Business Specialist role is based within Business Banking role is situated within the branch network and is at the frontline of HSBC.
The role of the Business Specialist is to is expected to deliver a professional face to face service experience to customers, prospective customers and professionals in order to maximise contribution towards the Business Banking Portfolio segment and to improve customer engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
Offering suitable value-added advice to new and existing customers, providing customer service excellence
Winning new to Bank customers by establishing a network with key business introducers in the local community and working in partnership with them
Participating in internal and external business events, road shows and seminars as required by the business
Being an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in the local business community
Adhering to structures and processes in place for the management of credit, operational, reputation and regulatory risk
Optimising the potential value of existing relationships by assisting in the delivery of solutions and services appropriate to meet customer need and to improve customer engagement
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Customer Service, working in a challenging environment
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders inc. HSBC overseas offices and local professional community
Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Good communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Branch Network is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Branch Network, Call/Contact Centres is desirable but not essential
Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Qualification to a University Degree and/or training courses. is desirable but not essential
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
Used their business knowledge and understanding of customer needs to successfully manage and grow customer relationships
Demonstrated an ability to match products and services with clients' needs to generate sales in an ethical manner
The base location for this role is Southall, London
