We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Finance - Accounting and Analyst 

Principal responsibilities

·  Contribute towards completion of Non-Financial risk (NFR) assessments throughout the change lifecycle.
·  Work in line with the NFR framework, utilizing the Helios Risk and Controls system where required.
·  Assess Target Operating Model (TOM) to review appropriateness of: Risk identification, standardised control definitions and Business Automated Control identifications.
·  Work with control owners and process owners to facilitate (via workshops) the utilization of control artefacts to ensure correct adoption and to support embedding of controls into BAU.
·  Review TOMs to ensure control designs are fit-for-purpose, robust and consistent across other work-streams and in-scope jurisdictions.
·  Support the Change teams to agree the implementation approach, considering all change impacts including people, process and technology.
·  Support the execution of target operating model, in partnership with Change teams
·  Be involved in risk mitigation and control remediation programs across the business; including assisted delivery of controls evaluation, analysis and deep dives.
·  Evaluate existing controls and develop recommendations. Contribute towards tailoring standardised controls for specific process application, identify and document controls gaps for considerations of raising Management Self Identified Issues/Risk Acceptances.
·  Analyse regulatory changes to assess their impact on the HSBC’s processes, controls and risk profile.

Requirements

·  Preferably newly Qualified CA / CPA / ICWA / MBA (or other relevant post-graduate / professional qualification) or sitting final papers (with relevant experience).
·  Experience within Risk and Controls subject area or regulatory reporting function
·  Experience of process reviews, risk and control identification.
·  Ability to understand existing processes and system architecture
·  Ability to coordinate and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across various business functions and with senior executives.
·  Understands project lifecycles, from requirements through to implementation
·  Drive, motivation and commitment and focus on design and operational excellence
·  Experience in assessing the design and effectiveness of controls.
·  Exposure to regulatory reporting and banking systems with the ability to understand, interpret and refine data and process flow, identify risks and mitigating controls.
·  Prior SOX experience and or familiarity with the COSO risk management framework.
