We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Business Architect.
Principal Responsibilities
This suite of initiatives focuses on WCL transformation of model architecture, including the definition and maintenance of capital models and associated data strategy. Model coverage will include:
· Traditional use cases within regulatory reporting such as Regulatory Capital Pillar 1, IFRS9, CECL and stress testing
· Emerging use cases such as Environmental, Social & Governance and Automated & Assisted Decisioning
Responsibilities
· Lead design thinking in the following areas:
· Model inputs such as Financial Spreading & subjective questions
· Model outputs such as Probability of Default, Loss Given Default, Exposure at Default, Slotting & Expected Credit Loss
· Design standards for core capabilities such as the Parental Support Framework and Multiple Risk Ratings
· The approach to overriding model outputs based on other factors (sovereign caps, guarantee documentation, implicit support and collateral eligibility as defined by Basel 3.1 and/or CRD IV regulations
· Provide architectural and subject matter expertise to all feature teams within the portfolio
· Interpret and contextualise business strategy
· Set an overarching vision for lending and lending operations
· Lead the development of specific artefacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution
· Lead the synthesis of desired business outcomes and translating into business capabilities to ensure these outcomes can be delivered in the most optimal way
· Leverage capability from the appropriate lending team
· Ensure end to end integrity of solution designs and alignment with standard architecture patterns such as Platform, Security, data etc
· Leverage agile methodologies and collaborate between technical and business teams to design iterative improvements to the platform and achieve long-term outcomes
· Manage the repository of business architecture models, roadmaps, standards and outcome
· Evaluate new technologies and making recommendation for new capabilities
Requirements
· Experience in modelling infrastructure (design and/or delivery) is a must. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate how to build relationships with key model management stakeholders such as Financial Risk Management, Strats, Group Risk Analytics and Financial Engineering colleagues
Knowledge & Experience:
· Credit and Lending experience is essential
· Some exposure to C&L, operations and/or stakeholders
· Business Architect experience recommended
· Held a number responsibilities associated with Business Architecture and Operating Model design
· Transformation experience recommended
· Has experience of working on change projects
Experience in one of the following areas is recommended:
· Scored lending experience is recommended
· Sales, automated decisioning/scored lending, or operating model design experience with digital end-to-end journeys
· Distribution experience is recommended
· Sales, risk management, or operational experience with syndications, CLO, CDS or NPI
· Regulatory change programmes or risk experience is recommended
· Some experience with risk approvals, model management, or regulation
· Collateral management process experience is recommended
· Some experience with collateral issuance and management process
