We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager – Capital Management

In this role, you will:

Partner with various business and functional stakeholders including CMB segment teams, Lending and Transactional Management / Wholesale Portfolio Management, Finance, Risk etc. to drive clear actions to optimize capital allocation and improve returns in CMB.

Participate in project work related to RWA optimisation initiatives and the continuing development of the capital management platform.

·
Participate in the development of Segment, Product and Relationship RWA reporting to provide visibility on capital usage and business performance.

·
Partner with Risk and Capital and Regulatory Reporting to drive actions around data management and model enhancements to ensure data accuracy and consistent application of models

·
Supporting the front offices with analytics tools and MI output and PM teams with regards to RWA Optimisation in complex deal structures.

·
Second level support for originator queries on Capital Management topics and techniques.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

· 
Knowledge of how RWAs are calculated and managed, including concepts of EAD, LGD, PD and EL

· 
Advanced analytics skills especially in Excel. Knowledge of Tableau is desirable.

· 
Experience of working in Risk, Finance, Portfolio Management environments is desirable; an understanding of how assets are gathered and structured at the point of origination will be helpful

· 
Understanding of Basel 3 reforms and the wider external regulatory environment, especially as it impacts banks' capital requirements

· 
Previous knowledge of HSBC systems preferred (RCT, Platfora, DRR, Omnia, CARM, LoanIQ, BMM etc)
