Role Purpose
 
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:
Design, develop and execute MI reports required to manage operations efficiently;
Provide analytics consultancy to VP Ops to effectively manage their business;
Analyze performance trends and share findings/recommendations with management for decision making;
Support implementation of analytical tools, statistical tests, simulation studies etc. required to optimize production;
Interact with counter parts and build excellent working relationship with all stakeholders;
Influence and escalate key issues in an effective way to ensure timely resolution;
Continuously strive to improve and sustain high quality;
Obtain the requisite buy-in and support from Operations through effective presentation and communication of data findings and analyses;
Drive innovation for self and help junior team members and analysts in driving innovative ideas;
Take an active role in initiatives outside of own role; proactively seeking different assignments to accelerate learning;
Collaborate with others across the team to achieve the overall goal;
Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles;
Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of reports and analytical tasks/projects involving various initiatives around Collections (Telephony/Back-office) and Recoveries;
Automate the recurrent jobs and deliver them in a more effective and efficient manner;
Meet and comply with Global Standards Manual, Collections Operations FIM and HDPI policies.

Desired profile

At least 5 years’ experience in Operations with at-least 3 years of experience in MI and reporting (preferably in BackOffice or Contact Center);
Excellent data analysis, logical deduction, and critical thinking skills;
Experienced and proficient in MS – Office including Excel, VBA, Power-point, MS Access;
Basic knowledge of statistical and financial modeling techniques, marketing research and multivariate analysis tools;
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research or any other relevant technical numerical discipline preferable;
Project Management / Business Process improvement skills;
Possesses excellent thought organization and thought leadership;
Excellent Communication and presentation skills – Both verbal and written;
Knowledge of, and experience in, planning, organization, and problem solving techniques;
Proven ability to work effectively with virtual cross functional teams (without line reporting);
Self motivated and can work independently and with minimal supervision;
Multi tasking ability and ability to drive initiatives.
