Job description
The famous Caribe Hilton is looking for their next Security Dispatcher to join their team.
Located on a beautiful peninsula in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it is a vibrant destination beach-front resort! Sitting on 17 acres of tropical landscape, the resort is just a short distance from Old San Juan, the vibrant Condado district and the Puerto Rico Convention Center. Featuring a picturesque ocean-side boardwalk, 652 guest rooms and 65,000 square feet of meeting space.
The Ideal Candidate must have at least one year of Security Dispatcher, Security Officer and Customer Service experience and will be able to communicate in Spanish and English and understand both languages.
Shift Pattern: Full Availability. Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week, including weekend and holidays.
Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour

What will I be doing?
As a Security Dispatcher, you would be responsible for monitoring life safety systems and dispatching Security requests to ensure the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Screen people entering the dock area for their purpose and authorization.

Receive, record, lost and found. Research and respond to inquiries from guests concerning status of items.

Provide accurate information to people inquiring about directions, hours of hotel operation, etc...
·
Answer security telephones and safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority.
·
Dispatch security to all requests for assistance by guests and employees.
·
Listen and provide accurate information to guests and employees. Document legibly all appropriate incident information.
·
Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, assisting with door lock problems, coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.

Memorize and monitor life safety system including accurate layout of entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, complete alarm reports and checks and report any pertinent information from each shift.
·
Observe monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly.
·
Handle and immediately report to shift manager undesired conduct, violations of hotel policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, employees, patrons and property.
·
Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and service staff.
·
Handle communication related to the contracted security company through the Security Supervisor of the contracted company who are responsible of giving directions to the contracted security agents.

Keep work area clean and organized.
·
Administer CPR and First Aid.
·
Assist guests with door lock and in room safe opportunities.
·
Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
·
Follow company standards by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting.

Attends departmental communication meetings, operational area and/or Hotel.
Attends assigned trainings.
·
Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
·
Comply with Hilton Rules, Policies and Regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel.
