What will I be doing?
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for securing group and convention business by building and establishing relationships with customers. You will play a critical role in representing the hotel in the development of market segments and ensuring exceptional service while driving revenue. This dynamic and fast-paced position is ideal for individuals who are well-rounded, business-minded, and eager to grow their hospitality careers.
Specifically, your essential functions will include:
Customer and Account Management:
· Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureaus, and intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the hotel.
· Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
· Develop, execute, and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans for designated markets.
· Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities to meet short- and long-term objectives.
· Represent the hotel in interactions with customers, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.
· Conduct site inspections through compelling storytelling to address the unique needs of prospective and existing customers.
· Coordinate customer specifications, including room, food and beverage, and meeting space requirements, using the lead management system.
· Maintain accurate account and booking details in Delphi FDC per defined standards.
Prospecting:
· Research, solicit, and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
· Create and execute strategies to shift market share from competitors.
· Engage in outside sales activities to identify customer needs, build relationships, and secure new business.
Negotiations:
· Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with customers and intermediaries.
· Provide solutions that achieve financial goals while fostering strong customer relationships.
· Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal teams to support the contracting process as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Analyze historical, current, and future market trends to develop and implement strategies that capture maximum revenue.
· Consistently strive to maximize profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
· Demonstrate exceptional communication, networking, and sales skills.
· Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as required based on business needs.
What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
· Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
· Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of Hotel experience in guest contact areas. Previous sales experience preferred.
· Additional Requirements: Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes.
· Highly professional presentations and oral and written communication skills.
