Job description

This role will be based in our Revenue Management Consolidated Center - Asia Pacific (RMCC APAC) in Shanghai, China.

The Revenue Specialist, RMCC APAC maximizes revenue, market share and profits for multiple hotels through the strategic coordination of revenue management processes and procedures. This role will also support and execute projects that drive revenue, efficiency and operational excellence. You will also work with stakeholders from across the organization to ensure the successful delivery of project goals.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Execute hands-on implementation of projects that drive revenue, efficiency, and operational excellence.

· 
Set and monitor success metrics to track impact, efficiency gains, and operation improvements in real time.

· 
Identify underperforming areas, troubleshoot root causes, and implement fixes without delay.

· 
Meet deadlines without compromising quality and collaborate with teams to unlock progress and keep projects on track.

· 
Ensure that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting.

· 
Ensure professional and efficient utilization of all systems, in line with the company best practices and standard operating procedures.

· 
Ensure effective information gathering and analysis are conducted to identify and maximize opportunities and minimize any risks.

· 
Ensure that relevant hotel and above-hotel commercial team members are actively engaged in revenue decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement, drive and review optimal strategies and controls.

· 
Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed customers’, owners’ and shareholders’ expectations.

Project Execution

· 
Ensure project is delivered with the utmost efficiency, attention to details and operational excellence.

· 
Execute and maintain a standardized project workflow.

· 
Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.

· 
Support to prepare the project training plan, including (and not limited to) hotel facing training documentation, and internal process related training.

· 
Leverage automation tools and solutions to improve the working efficiency.

· 
Support projects focused on revenue growth and sales process optimization.

· 
Retain flexibility to ensure optimal project delivery.

Revenue Management

Inventory & Pricing:

· 
Proactively review and implement room accommodation and rate inventory controls via IDeaS V5i and R&I daily.

· 
Ensure group inventory and blackout dates align with demand and contracts.

· 
Maintain rate parity across all distribution channels.

Strategy & Analysis:

· 
Develop and refine pricing strategies based on market trends and competitive analysis.

· 
Conduct weekly business reviews to evaluate performance and adjust tactics.

· 
Analyze data to identify revenue opportunities and risks.

· 
Maintain regular communication with commercial teams to align on revenue strategies.

Forecasting & Reporting:

· 
Prepare monthly, quarterly forecasts and budgets using appropriate systems and tools.

· 
Perform IDeaS V5i forecast validation process on a regular basis to identify changes in trends and opportunities to enhance IDeaS forecasts.

Driving Commercial Performance:

· 
Drive incremental EBITDA, RevPar and Fair Market Share performance.

· 
Responsible for delivering KPIs and performance with focus (and not limited to) room type supplements, peak nights, house overbooking and forecast accuracy.

· 
Ensure any holiday cover commitments are managed as per standards.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Practical experience in hotel revenue management, asset management, or feasibility.

Hands-on project execution and solid knowledge of project management frameworks.

Strong interpersonal skills to engage with relevant stakeholders in global, regional and hotel teams.

· 
Able to set and maintain minimum standards.

· 
Able to analyze data and identify significant trends.

· 
Self-motivated and competitive.
