As our Purchasing Manager, you will lead our procurement operations, overseeing the sourcing, acquisition, and inventory of all supplies and equipment essential for our hotel's seamless operations.
Your role will include sourcing top-quality supplies, negotiating favorable contracts, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring all procurement activities align with our hotel's financial goals and commitment to quality.
What will I be doing?
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Procurement Leadership
Lead and manage the full procurement lifecycle to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality purchasing.
Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings, enhance supplier performance, and align with operational goals.
Collaborate cross-functionally to forecast procurement needs and ensure alignment with business priorities.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to continuously improve procurement processes and outcomes.
• Vendor Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and service excellence.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and negotiate contracts to secure competitive terms and long-term value.
Foster collaboration with vendors to drive innovation, resolve issues proactively, and support business objectives.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Oversee inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, preventing shortages and excess while supporting operational efficiency.
Partner with department heads to accurately forecast procurement needs and ensure purchasing aligns with budgetary goals.
Implement best practices in inventory control and supply chain coordination to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Budget Management & Cost Optimization
Oversee procurement budgets to ensure financial discipline and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product or service quality.
Analyze market trends and pricing dynamics to guide purchasing decisions and negotiate contracts that deliver optimal value.
Drive cost-efficiency initiatives while maintaining alignment with operational and strategic goals.
• Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to hotel policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant local regulations.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts - to support audits, reporting, and operational transparency.
Promote accountability and compliance through diligent documentation and process oversight.
• Team Development & Supervision
Lead, coach, and support the procurement team to build capabilities and drive performance.
Provide ongoing training and mentorship to enhance team members’ skills and professional growth.
Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth daily operations, timely execution, and adherence to deadlines.
Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment that encourages continuous improvement.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track key procurement metrics and vendor performance indicators to ensure efficiency, compliance, and value delivery.
Generate regular reports for senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations for continuous process improvement.
Support data-driven decision-making through accurate analysis and transparent reporting.
• Innovation & Market Research
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging products, and technological advancements to continuously enhance procurement strategies.
Proactively identify and recommend innovative solutions or alternative suppliers to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization.
A Purchasing Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
• Extensive experience in procurement and purchasing within a five-star luxury hospitality environment, with a proven track record in managerial or supervisory roles.
• Pre-opening project involvement is highly desirable, reflecting strategic foresight and operational agility.
• Strong leadership and negotiation capabilities, with the ability to foster high-performing teams and secure favorable supplier partnerships.
• Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications to ensure operational efficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of local procurement regulations and compliance standards, coupled with the ability to manage budgets and implement cost-saving strategies.
