General Technician

Job description

General Technician is responsible to maintain all aspects of the hotel building, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and other systems. They work closely with the hotel management to schedule regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot any problems that may arise

What will I be doing?

A General Technician will be responsible for ensuring that guests can enjoy their stay comfortably, safely, and without any technical issues. Their job is to maintain all aspects of the hotel building, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and other systems. They work closely with the hotel management to schedule regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

·         Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify needed repairs

·         Repair or replace damaged furniture, fixtures, and appliances in guest rooms and public areas

·         Maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems throughout the hotel

·         Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance, including after-hours emergencies

·         Maintain cleanliness, safety, and appearance of hotel grounds and exterior features such as swimming pools and parking lots

·         Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects

·         Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and supplies used, and prepare reports as needed

·         Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment and proper disposal of hazardous materials

·         Participate in regular training and professional development to stay up-to-date on  standards and equipment advancements.
