The Role

Are you a seasoned luxury hotel General Manager with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences? Waldorf Astoria Rabat is looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation and success of our property.

Waldorf Astoria is making its debut in Rabat, Morocco, adding a stunning new landmark to the capital city. This luxurious property, located in an iconic multi-faceted tower, features 55 elegantly designed rooms/suites that offer the pinnacle of comfort and sophistication, along with breathtaking views. Guests will also enjoy a world-class culinary experience with three restaurants, each showcasing exceptional flavors and impeccable service. Additionally, the hotel will boast market-leading meeting and event spaces. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat is set to redefine luxury and elevate hospitality standards in the heart of Rabat.

 

What will you be doing?

This exciting General Manager position will be responsible for both positioning and managing the Hotel, the Hotel Management team and deliver a best in country Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners expectations.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

·  Manage and lead the pre – opening phase of the hotel opening and the hotel operation.
·  As first Waldorf Astoria in country, you and your team, will continue to build the reputation and activation of Hilton.  
·  Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceeded.
·  Lead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.
·  Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and Hilton.
·  Deliver achievable hotel budgets and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the property.
·  Provide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members focusing on Hilton culture and values.
·  Lead in all aspects of business planning.
·  Comply with and exceed Waldorf Astoria Brand Service Standards.
·  Ensure costs are controlled.
·  Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within Hilton. Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team.
·  Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on Owner relations, Commercial and Operations, guest experience and Team Member engagement. Enthusiastic and passionate, you will have current or previous experience as a luxury General Manager and ideally with hotel openings experience.

A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

·  Highly experienced luxury General Manager.
·  Tier one city experience and multi-market experience
·  Strong ability to collaborate and foster networks and relationships, with owners, contractors, corporates, and Tour Operators – must be highly visible. 
·  Deliver innovative commercial opportunities with experience in increasing profitability especially in the  MICE and Leisure business segments.
·  Exceptional people leadership and retention of talent with the ability to bring a team together on a journey and instilling the Hilton culture and values.
·  Exceptional stakeholder/owner relations experience.
·  Ability to show resilience, judgement and leadership.
·  Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property.
·  Fluency in English and French language is mandatory.
·  In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector.
·  Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
