Engineering Supervisor

Job description

An Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and efficient environment for guests and team members. This includes conducting daily inspections, supervising repairs, and coordinating renovation and maintenance projects.

What will I be doing?

As an Engineering Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

·  Overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities within the hotel.
·  Conducting daily inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
·  Supervising and assisting in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
·  Ensuring all hotel fixtures, fittings, and equipment are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
·  Leading and supporting the engineering team to deliver high-quality service and timely maintenance.
·  Coordinating and monitoring renovation and upgrade projects, including defining scope, budgeting, and supervising contractors.
·  Developing and implementing emergency response procedures and safety protocols.
·  Managing energy conservation initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
·  Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
·  Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring team members are trained accordingly.
·  Building strong working relationships with internal departments and external service providers.
·  Handling special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

·  Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations

·  Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
·  Flexibility to manage a variety of tasks and respond to operational needs

·  Previous experience in a similar engineering or supervisory role

It would be advantageous if you also have:

·  First Aid certification
·  Vocational or technical training in engineering, facilities management, or a related field
·  Experience in energy management or sustainability initiatives
