Job description
A Duty Manager works closely with Guests to greet, converse, and assist with enquiries, especially when VIP Guests, long-stay Guests, and others are in the hotel lobby.
What will I be doing?
As a Duty Manager, you will work closely with Guests to greet, converse, and assist with enquiries, especially when VIP Guests, long-stay Guests, and others are in the hotel lobby. A Duty Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments.
· Act as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing any issues, concerns, or special requests with efficiency and professionalism.
· Ensure that all guest experiences are in line with the luxury standards of LXR Hotels & Resorts.
· Manage and resolve any operational challenges that arise during the shift, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely and effective solutions.
· Monitor guest feedback and work with the management team to continuously improve service quality.
· Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction.
· Support the Front Office team during peak check-in and check-out times, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests.
· Handle any emergencies or incidents, ensuring that appropriate procedures are followed, and that guest safety is prioritized.
· Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

· Proven experience as a Duty Manager, Front Office Manager, or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort.
· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and effective decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
· Knowledge of hotel management software and systems.
· Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure
· Possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability in a tight market sector
· Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results in a similar sized property
