Position Purpose
The Cluster Sales Manager supports the Cluster Commercial Director in leading and supervising the Sales Team across multiple properties.
This role involves building successful sales managed segment strategies, account plans that maximise performance and driving change in customer contracting processes. Excellence in sales leadership and customer engagement are essential. Effective management of key accounts across corporate, government, wholesale and B2B partners to drive growth to meet and exceed annual revenue budgets across all properties. Additionally, the Cluster Sales Manager leads the Sales team to ensure smooth departmental operations, maximizing business opportunities and delivering the highest service standards to partners.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
Training and Knowledge:
· Understand and stay updated on competitor products, acquire key account insights to enable growth in market share from key accounts . Provide timely feedback to the Cluster Commercial Director.
Sales and Customer Relations:
· Promote and sell all hotels in the cluster.
· Develop and execute sales plans with approval from the Cluster Commercial Director.
· Maintain and grow customer relationships through various sales methods.
· Efficiently produce quotations, send contracts, and follow up with customers.
· Collect and share market and industry information to capture business opportunities.
· Plan and execute action plans to support revenue generation and outperform competitors.
· Manage allocated accounts to develop innovative revenue approaches and expand the customer base.
· Maintain customer information and reporting in line with Hilton standards.
· Follow pricing and contracting guidelines will support from the cluster revenue manager and cluster commercial director
· Build and distribute any sales collateral required to elevate the customer interest as required.
Operational Support:
· Ensure effective communication between the Commercial and Operations teams.
· Assist the Hotel Operations department in following up on group sales details.
· Handle guest feedback or complaints.
· Maximize sales and accurately forecast revenue.
· Ensure correct rate loading in systems/channels.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Motivate and train hotel-based sales specialists.
· Provide supervision and guidance in developing team quotes or contracts.
· Engage in onboarding new Sales team members and share sales expertise.
· Support sales team with important partner engagements.
· Build effective relationships with key stakeholders at property level and above property sales and revenue support.
Strategic and Analytical Support:
· Support the Cluster Commercial Director in analyzing competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
· Assist in developing the commercial strategy for sales managed segments
· Support the cluster forecasting and budgeting processes as guided by the cluster commercial director
· Analyze tourist source cities and expand channels.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Design new hotel products based on market demand, set sales targets, and manage related publicity and sales.
· Execute any other duties as assigned by the Cluster Commercial Director.
Requirements
· Demonstrated experience in a revenue-generating or commercial services role within the hospitality or travel industry, including presenting sales plans and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders.
· Proven ability to evaluate and identify business opportunities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
· Strong understanding of local customers and market analysis ability, with existing customer resources.
· Proficiency in English and Vietnamese; additional languages are advantageous.
· Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
A Junior College degree or equivalent, a related field is preferred.
