Job description
The Cluster Commercial Director for Seychelles Luxury & Lifestyle is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy across all segments and channels to maximize total revenue, profit performance, and market share for a portfolio of luxury and lifestyle properties. This role leads cross functional commercial teams and collaborates closely with hotel General Managers, Hilton’s regional support team, and key stakeholders to drive business success.
Position Summary:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the brand’s luxury positioning and business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Revenue, and E-commerce to deliver integrated commercial plans.
- Act as a strategic advisor to General Managers and ownership groups, ensuring commercial goals are met or exceeded.
- Directly accountable for delivering top-line revenue and forecast targets across all revenue streams: Rooms, Groups, Conferences & Events (GC&E), F&B, Leisure, and Spa.
- Implement and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy using Hilton World wide’s Commercial Focus process and business intelligence tools.
- Optimize cost of sale, channel mix, route to market, and marketing/eCommerce opportunities to maximize profitability.
- Ensure pricing and rate quotation strategies are aligned with Business Review Guidelines (current to 5+ years) to drive group market share.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with GMs, Finance, and Operations Directors to ensure profit maximization in line with TGOP and EBITDA targets.
- Collaborate with Cluster Revenue Managers, RMCC, and on-property teams to validate forecasts, optimize mix, and approve pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with RDOS, Area Marketing, and PR teams to align hotel-level marketing and sales activities with regional and brand strategies.
- Share F&B commercial responsibilities with the F&B Manager, Director of Operations, and GMs.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Serve as a key business partner to hotel GMs and a commercial ambassador to owners and stakeholders.
- Present commercial strategies and performance updates to the VP of Operations, regional teams, and ownership groups.
- Maintain strong relationships with Hilton Worldwide Sales, matrix support teams, and external partners.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team, including Directors of Sales, Marketing & Communications, GC&E Sales, and Reservations.
- Manage performance against KPIs, recruit and retain top talent, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Operate effectively within a 4D leadership structure across the cluster.
Sales & Marketing
- Direct the development and implementation of annual sales and marketing plans.
- Oversee key account management, client engagement, and participation in industry events to drive business.
- Leverage brand and corporate marketing programs to enhance visibility and demand.
- Drive cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives across the cluster.
- Stay abreast of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.
- Ensure all commercial activities conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity.
- Utilize communication tools under the guidance of regional marketing and BPS.
Revenue Management
- Lead revenue strategy development including pricing, inventory control, and distribution optimization.
- Ensure effective use of revenue systems and tools to maximize yield across all revenue streams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor performance to inform strategic decisions.
E-commerce & Digital
- Oversee digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM, social media, and website optimization.
- Ensure alignment with global digital standards and leverage data analytics to drive online performance.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team across multiple properties.
- Recruit and retain top talent, ensuring succession planning and career development.
- Set and monitor KPIs, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Analyze commercial data to identify opportunities and risks, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, systems, and reporting requirements.
Systems
- Assures effective utilization and adherence to standards relating to current systems in place at the hotel.

OTHER
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. What are we looking for?
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- 3+ years working in a multi-complex hotel/travel industry environment
- Experience in multiple disciplines with knowledge of Marketing, E-commerce, and Finance
- Prior Luxury properties commercial background
- 3+ years in similar Commercial or Sales leadership for multiple properties role
- Prior Leisure background in Sales
- Ability to relocate to Seychelles should there be a need for it
