Accounts Receivable Clerk (Temporary)

Job description

An Accounts Receivable Clerk will fully support the Credit Team within the Finance department by following charges and credit procedures and balancing accounts frequently.

What will I be doing?

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk you will be specifically responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

·  Assisting the Credit Team to ensure the accuracy of all charges and credits to the various accounts
·  File maintenance
·  Gathering information and supporting documents for Group invoices and customers with special billing instructions 
·  Sending customer statements
·  Following up on all overdue accounts
·  Supporting in the management of all account queries and disputes
·  Balancing accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
·  Maintaining good communication and working relationships with all hotel areas
·  Acting in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required

It would be advantageous in this position for you to possess and/or demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: 

·  Previous experience within a Credit Control department
·  Relevant degree/education in Accounting or related business discipline from an accredited institution
·  Understanding of basic financial and accounting principles and procedures
·  Prior experience working in the various areas of Finance will be considered an asset.
