About the role
In your role as an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for the accounts payable function across three hotels within our portfolio. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the hotels by ensuring timely and accurate payment to our suppliers. Specifically, your role will involve:
· Efficiently process invoices, including matching and resolving discrepancies for purchase and non-purchase order transactions, using DocMX and BirchStreet systems.
· Reconcile supplier statements, follow up on outstanding invoices, and ensure all credits and discounts are accurately accounted for.
· Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, process adjustments, and prepare journals using cost allocation templates for approval.
· Coordinate payment runs and employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with Hilton policies
· Collaborate with stakeholders to address aged open items, monitor purchase orders, and support end-of-month close activities, ensuring timely financial reporting.
· Support system enhancements, troubleshoot technology issues, and handle ad-hoc tasks as required to streamline operations and meet business needs.
What are we looking for?
· A degree level qualification in Finance or Accounting preferred
· Previous experience in a Finance role and specifically in the Procure to Pay function will be an added advantage
· Experience working in the Hotel or Hospitality Industry is an advantage
· Proficiency, at an intermediate to advanced level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft programs (Excel and Word).
· Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Ability to be flexibility with working days during month end, quarter end and year end
